A person was taken to hospital following an “incident involving an animal” at a park in Pontypridd.
On Sunday, August 22 there were reports of an air ambulance being seen in the Pontypridd area during the afternoon.
It has since been confirmed that someone was taken to hospital as they required treatment following the incident involving an animal.
Reports on social media claim a dog was involved, but this hasn’t yet been confirmed.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.10pm to the Barry Sidings Country Park in Pontypridd yesterday, Sunday, August 22, to reports of a person requiring medical treatment following an incident involving an animal.
“We sent three rapid response vehicles, one emergency ambulance and the Wales Air Ambulance to the scene.
“One patient was taken by road to University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, for further treatment.”
South Wales Police has been asked to comment.
