Two people have been left with potentially life-changing injuries after a car crashed into a tree on a rural road.
The incident happened between the town of Lampeter and the village of Ciliau Aeron in Ceredigion on Saturday night. Three people who were in the car all suffered injuries as a result of the crash with all three being taken to hospital.
Two of them – one male and one female – sustained what police described as “suspected life-changing injuries” after the car left the A482 between Ciliau Aeron and Felinfach and hit a tree at the side of the road while another man suffered what has been described as “serious injuries”.

Paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service attended the scene of the crash along with officers from Dyfed-Powys Police.
A spokesman for the force said: “We were called to a collision on the A482 between Lampeter and Ciliau Aeron at around 8.40pm on Saturday, August 7.
“One car had crashed off the road and hit a tree. Three people were taken to hospital – two of them, a man and a woman, with suspected life-changing injuries. A second man suffered serious injuries.”
